Happy Sunday everyone!
I’ve had an incredibly restful weekend and couldn’t be happier. It’s a sunny Sunday morning and I’m sat in my favourite spot taking in the fresh air with a cup of green tea; this is my definition of bliss.
Isn’t it amazing how practicing self-care can leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated? As mentioned in previous blogs, while I think it’s incredibly important to pamper yourself physically it’s equally if not more important to take time out to nurture your soul.
The idea that our souls can be nurtured might sound a little far fetched but it’s an integral part of our overall wellness. Listening to your favourite music, reading a book or simply taking a moment to be still these are little things we can do to disconnect from our everyday hustle and bustle to reconnect with ourselves, in order to feel more centered.
My modus operandi this weekend was stillness. A 24 hr social media and phone detox has left me feeling less anxious and more present. We underestimate how much incessant scrolling on our phones peering into other people’s takes a toll on our psyche.
Before my hibernation this weekend, I did step out to do a street style shoot. The weather has been so lovely would be a shame not to make the most of it at least a little bit right?
Ordinarily, I’d stay clear of the “matchy matchy” look but when this red top arrived in the post it become clear very quickly that the only way to style this would be with patent red pumps. I must say there is something very empowering about being the lady in red.
Let me know your thoughts on colour coordinating ouftits?
Also if you practiced any self-care this weekend please share your experience
