Happy Friday everyone!
Don’t know about you, but suddenly the countdown to Christmas seems very real. I’m also in the mood to celebrate; it might have something to do with the thrill of the weekend and Christmas all bundled up into one; it’s all so exciting!
In the midst of all the Christmas coziness; knitwear, denim, and being bundled up in coats I often have to remind myself that it’s time to celebrate! Christmas dinner and shindigs will be taking precedence in the next couple of days and I’m a firm believer that it should be done in style.
Elevate your Christmas dining experience with a festive themed place setting. This year, I’ve opted for gold and metallics; keeping everything quite fresh and modern. You don’t have to purchase tableware that will be used only once a year, keep it classic so that it can be used on any other occasion.
To make sure place your setting doesn’t look too simple, include a festive themed napkin ring or simply switch out your table mat for something with glitter; remember it’s all in the deatils. It’s the most wonderful time of the year and when your at the table you want to feel like it’s Christmas.
Before you sit down for Christmas lunch or dinner chances are you’ll have loads of time to spare. What to do till then?Let’s pop some bubbly, serve up your favourite Hors d’oeuvre and party.
This is the one time of the year where your going to get away with constantly being in a celebratory mood; so make the most of it. Toast to life, family and friends! If you don’t drink remember there are also loads of fizzy non-alcoholic alernatives that will make you feel just as festive and glamorous.
I’ve invested in a new champagne bucket, to keep my bubbly chilled and on ice in the most glamorous way possible. If your wondering how to entertain in style invest in pieces that are both practical but add a touch a decadence to serving your guests. Think champagne flutes with gold details and peculiar shapes. Or a good old ice bucket so you don’t have to go back and forth to your fridge for top ups.
Whether your celebrating out and about or doing it at home just remember to have fun, and it in your own way. Don’t let the holiday pass you by without making some kind of effort. It’s time to celebrate!
Cheers To Christmas!
