A common problem many women seem to tackle is; having a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear. We’ve all been there right? Frantically going through our wardrobe, only to be left feeling aggravated at the apparent lack of options.
Naturally, our instinct is to go online, purchase a few items from our favourite retailers hoping that our wardrobe will be transformed. Granted you might get a few fabulous pieces but somewhere down the line we’re back in the cycle of feeling like our style options are limited.
If your a blogger, the pressure to churn out new outfits is very real. Our audience, no matter how small or large does not want to see the same outfits repeated on our feed. Bloggers provide fashion inspiration and have mastered the art of being creative with clothing, so to a large extent it’s expected they should always be ahead of the curve when it comes to style.
However, should we always succumb to this pressure? Prior to a Shoot day I was desparately rummaging through my wardrobe looking for what to wear, then I decided to take the pressure off. I pulled out some items that I had already shot, styled them a bit differently and voila I had my look!
Whether it’s in fashion or in life it’s important to learn to work with what you’ve got. You might surprise yourself and discover that you have more at your disposable than you thought. There is nothing wrong with wanting more; clothing, money, or influence, but we mustn’t forget that if we take the time to really work with what we’ve got we the results might be fabulous!
